Calistoga Spanish Hacienda

Some designers and architects create outstanding work; Ken Linsteadt is one of them, and the following blog post showcases one of my favorite projects of his: the Calistoga Cloister. The residence is a traditional Spanish hacienda, located in Calistoga, CA. The estate features beautiful courtyards, terraces, and an expansive pool area, as well as thick plaster walls, high arches, rough-hewn beams, and steel windows that capture the views of beautiful vineyards of the Napa Valley. The floors throughout the voluminous interior are stained concrete tiles with subtle variations in pattern from room to room. Other details include carved limestone fireplaces, over-scaled iron light fixtures, salvaged oak beams, tile roofing, cupolas, and a winding iron staircase with steps clad in artisan tiles. All-in-all a very impressive estate!
