Take a look at this breathtaking estate in Napa county, California. A retreat that’s complete with guest house and offers several locations to enjoy the outdoors throughout the change of the seasons. Designed by the very talented team of Andrew Mann Architects, this private vacation compound has dramatic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains beyond. The interior was designed by one of my favorite designers – Kara Mann. According to the architect, “the client wished to create an updated, contemporary take on the traditional country house. The buildings all open to a simple, elegant and lush private garden, with house and landscape accentuating outdoor living spaces. Exterior materials and interior finishes are luxurious in texture and define a simple white and grey-tone color palette.”
I love so many aspects of this home – let me take you through some of the pictures …
and as always … Thank you for taking the time to read HAVEN STUDIOS’s blog!
Above: The master bedroom shares the patio that surrounds the pool area. Just like all the other rooms of the house, it’s flooded with light and brings the outside in. The orientation of the bed also invites to a swim in the morning.
The outdoor living spaces around this house are amazing! The pergola of the main house offers a protective solid portion for seating as well as an open trellis portion. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a glass of wine here?
The above picture also shows the guest house adjacent to the main house and the pool. Everything, including the landscape is very structured and built around clean contemporary lines yet feels comfortable.
